The Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) will set up a cruise terminal at the green channel in the port close to the Vedanta and Adani berths in August at a cost of Rs.1.03 bn. The cruise terminal project would be taken up after the submission of the detailed project report (DPR) by IIT Madras. The terminal would have a passenger gangway, lounge, customs and immigration building and recreation area, restrooms, duty-free shops, foreign currency exchange counters, and offices for tourism and travel operators.
