Adani Data Networks to Transfer 400 MHz Spectrum to Bharti Airtel
Adani Data Networks Ltd (ADNL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd, has signed definitive agreements with Bharti Airtel Ltd and its subsidiary Bharti Hexacom Ltd to transfer the rights to use 400 MHz of spectrum in the 26 GHz band.
The spectrum spans six key telecom circles: Gujarat (100 MHz), Mumbai (100 MHz), Andhra Pradesh (50 MHz), Rajasthan (50 MHz), Karnataka (50 MHz), and Tamil Nadu (50 MHz). The transaction, which supports Airtel's 5G rollout plans, is subject to necessary statutory approvals.
This development marks a notable shift in spectrum holdings and is expected to enhance Airtel’s high-bandwidth capacity in metro and urban markets.
