Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Ram Mohan Naidu visited Air India’s headquarters and training facilities in Gurugram, reaffirming the government’s focus on enhancing safety, training, and operational excellence in Indian aviation.

During his visit, the Minister toured the Air India Experience Centre, highlighting the airline’s 92-year journey and its transformation under Vihaan.AI. He also reviewed critical infrastructure such as the Emergency Control Centre (ECC) and the Integrated Operations Control Centre (IOCC)—key hubs for ensuring operational resilience and punctuality.

At the Air India Aviation Training Academy, Shri Naidu inspected the Safety Lab, Grooming Centre, Security Lab, and ongoing development of Simulator Buildings, underlining the airline’s investment in world-class training for aviation professionals.

A major highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the Air India Safety Promotion Centre, attended by the Chairman of Tata Sons and Air India. Commending Air India’s focus on safety, Shri Naidu said, “This centre embodies a strong commitment to cultivating a safety-first culture through real-world training that goes beyond the classroom.”

He lauded Air India for its efforts to enhance safety protocols and human resource training, and emphasised that as India expands air connectivity, safety remains a top priority. He also reaffirmed the government's full support in building a globally competitive and reliable aviation ecosystem.

Welcomed by Air India CEO & MD Campbell Wilson, the visit symbolised a significant step toward deepening government-industry collaboration for a safer, more robust future in Indian aviation.
