Bihar State Co-op Bank Taps PruTech for Rs 19 Bn Digital Upgrade

The Bihar State Cooperative Bank has partnered with PruTech Solutions, a New Jersey-headquartered technology firm, to execute a Rs 19 Bn digital transformation project aimed at modernising banking services across its network. The initiative will overhaul operations at 13 branches and 23 affiliated District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs). At its core is a next-generation Core Banking System (CBS) enabling real-time transactions, centralised operations, and seamless banking across rural and urban areas.

The project includes: – Cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) – Loan Origination System to digitise loan processing – Micro-ATM Client Application to enhance financial reach in remote areas – Generative AI virtual assistants and a centralised Helpdesk & Grievance System

PruTech will deploy its flagship platform Converge, an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) to monitor operations and infrastructure. A built-in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solution will support compliance and fraud prevention. “This transformation will redefine how cooperative banks operate,” said Ambika Prasad Mohapatra, Executive Vice-President at PruTech Solutions.
