Chopras Lease Pune Property for Rs. 149 Million Over 5 Years
Madhu Chopra and Siddharth Chopra—mother and brother of internationally acclaimed actor and producer Priyanka Chopra—have leased out a premium property in Koregaon Park, Pune, securing a rental income of Rs. 149 million over five years.
The property, spanning 4,800 sq. ft (approximately 445.9 sq. m), has been rented out for a monthly value starting at Rs. 225,000, with a 5% annual rent escalation outlined in the lease. By the fifth year, the rent will increase to Rs. 273,000 per month. The lease agreement includes a lock-in period of 36 months and a security deposit of Rs. 1.35 million. The lease was formally registered in February 2025 with stamp duty and registration charges amounting to Rs. 39,000 and Rs. 1,000 respectively.
Square Yards also reported that the Chopras originally purchased the property in August 2017 for Rs. 560 million. Based on the current lease terms, the first-year rental yield stands at 4.8% and is projected to increase to 5.86% by the fifth year.
Located in the posh Koregaon Park area—famous for its lush surroundings, premium residences, and lively cafes—the property enjoys close proximity to Kalyani Nagar and Pune Airport, making it attractive for both residential and commercial use.
