Daifuku Opens Rs 2.27 Billion Smart Factory in Hyderabad
Japan-based Daifuku Co. Ltd’s Indian arm, Daifuku Intralogistics India Private Limited, has launched a state-of-the-art Rs 2.27 billion advanced manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, strengthening its commitment to India’s intralogistics and automation ecosystem.
The new facility is designed to serve sectors such as e-commerce, retail, automotive, and pharmaceuticals. It will initially create over 100 skilled jobs and aligns with the Make in India mission by fostering local innovation and manufacturing. Speaking at the inauguration, Hiroshi Geshiro, Chief Executive Officer of Daifuku Co. Ltd., emphasised the plant’s role in enhancing India’s logistics infrastructure and supporting domestic talent.
Asim Behera, Chief Executive Officer of Daifuku Intralogistics India, highlighted the company’s strategy to offer scalable and sustainable logistics solutions. He reiterated Daifuku’s alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and its focus on developing green automation systems.
The facility is a key milestone in Indo-Japanese industrial collaboration and is expected to spur further investments in research and development, technical partnerships, and environmentally friendly manufacturing practices.
