DDA Housing Schemes See High Demand

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced that all flats offered under the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024 in Rohini have been sold out. Officials reported that over 700 low-income group (LIG) flats were completely sold out, following the immediate success of 41 high-income group (HIG) flats in Jasola, which sold out on the first day of bookings.

The auction, which commenced on September 10, saw more than 1,100 flats from both the Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya Housing schemes sold on opening day. For the first time, the DDA provided comprehensive information about the properties, including location details, flat categories, nearby amenities, photos, and videos via an online portal.

The Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024 aims to offer LIG and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats at discounted rates across various locations such as Ramgarh Colony, Siraspur, Loknayakpuram, Rohini, and Narela, with prices starting around Rs 11.5 lakh. The DDA plans to offer around 34,000 flats through a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis.

Additionally, the Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024 will provide a variety of flats, including HIG, medium-income group (MIG), LIG, and EWS, at localities like Jasola and Narela, with starting prices around Rs 29 lakh. Approximately 5,400 flats are expected to be available under this scheme.

The DDA's Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024 will also feature MIG and HIG flats in upscale areas like Sector 14, 16B, and 19B through an e-auction process, with about 173 flats on offer.
