Delhi Lt Governor approves Ring Road Footbridge

It was announced that Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had approved a project for the construction of a footover bridge in front of the Gurudwara Majnu Ka Tila crossing on the Ring Road. The statement mentioned that the bridge would alleviate the "chronic" traffic congestion at that spot. It was stated in the statement that the Lt Governor had given clearance for the construction of the footover bridge (FOB) in front of the Gurudwara Majnu Ka Tila crossing on the Ring Road on Delhi Development Authority (DDA) land.

The statement further indicated that the land earmarked for construction was part of a 123-acre land belonging to the DDA. It was also mentioned that the FOB on the Public Works Department (PWD) road in front of the gurudwara would be designed and built in a manner ensuring its easy dismantling or relocation whenever the construction of a flyover is initiated at that junction, as per the statement.
