DTC electric bus catches fire in Hauz Khas; no casualties reported


A DTC electric bus caught fire in the Hauz Khas area on the morning of May 19. No casualties were reported, according to officials from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS). The prompt actions of the driver and conductor, who immediately instructed all passengers to evacuate, prevented a major incident.

The DFS received a call about the fire at around 11:10 am. Three fire tenders were dispatched to the Padmini Enclave area, and it took approximately an hour to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The bus, number 502, was en route from Old Delhi to Mehrauli when the incident occurred.
