The project has been assigned a two-year timeline to be completed by Rajasthan-based Rajendra Singh Bhamboo Infra, which was awarded the contract in November 2023. This is likely to cause high vehicle density and the likelihood of significant traffic congestion during construction. For this project, soil research has begun. This will involve examining the soil's layers, carrying capacity, and the condition of the rock beneath it to determine if it is hard or brittle. For the project, a consultant has been chosen. A geotechnologist will assist with the soil analysis and determine the depth of the hard layers. An official stated that in the case of Atal Setu, piling was done 40?50 m deep. The maximum height of the 78 pillars to be constructed is expected to be 6.5 m. They said that machines are now available to carry out piling at a fast pace, after which the superstructure, mostly of precast blocks, will be readied at another location, transported to the site, and fixed.
