Equinox India Appoints New Director


The board of directors of Equinox India Developments (Equinox India) has approved the appointment of Jitendra Mohandas Virwani, chairperson of Embassy Group and promoter of the company, as a non-executive non-independent director, effective January 25, 2025.

In addition, the company has successfully allotted 60.91 million fully paid equity shares to the shareholders of NAM Estates, in line with the merger scheme. This marks a significant milestone, with Embassy Group now becoming the new promoter of Equinox India, holding a controlling stake of 41.4%.

Equinox India has a strong presence across key markets, including the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Bengaluru, Chennai, the National Capital Region (NCR), and several tier-II cities. The company holds a diverse portfolio comprising residential and commercial properties.
