Fortune Park Hotels to launch five hotels with 375 rooms in India

Fortune Park Hotels, a subsidiary of the ITC hotel group, will open five properties in India by the end of next year, totalling over 375 rooms, as part of its expansion plans in the country.

In India, the company operates 38 hotels with approximately 2,900 rooms in 34 cities.

Samir MC, Managing Director of Fortune Park Hotels said that the company is in advanced negotiations for a few more projects, some of which are expected to open before the end of next year, in addition to opening 5 hotels with over 375 rooms across four cities in India by the end of December 2022.

Fortune Resort Benaulim Goa, Fortune Select in Goa, Fortune Park Hoshiarpur in Punjab, Fortune Park Tirupur in Tamil Nadu, and Fortune Inn Haldwani in Uttarakhand are the five hotels.

Fortune Park Hotels was founded in 1995 to cater to the mid-market to upscale market segment in both business and leisure destinations.

Fortune Select, Fortune Park, Fortune Inn, and Fortune Resort are clearly defined sub-brands under which the chain operates its hotels.

30% of the company portfolio is made up of leisure hotels, with the rest being business or mixed-use properties. The focus on leisure has shifted as domestic tourism has expanded and the world looks for new ways to vacation.

According to Samir, the majority of future expansions will be focused on pilgrim and tourist destinations, where the company sees a huge opportunity. Aside from that, he cited that the company would continue to expand its business hotel portfolio.

When asked about the future business climate for the hospitality sector in the country, Samir asserted that with successful vaccination drives and the third wave currently at bay, future business looks optimistic.
