Foundation Stone Laid for New Bridge on Mahanadi River in Odisha

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone for a new bridge on the Mahanadi River, marking a significant step in enhancing the state’s infrastructure. The bridge, estimated to cost Rs 150 crore, will improve connectivity between the northern and southern parts of the state.

The new bridge will replace the existing structure, which has become inadequate due to the increase in traffic and the growing demand for better road connectivity. It will play a critical role in facilitating smoother travel for both commuters and goods transport, benefiting several districts in the region.

The Odisha government has allocated the necessary funds for the project, and officials are confident that the bridge will be completed within the next 2 years, significantly boosting transportation efficiency in the area.
