GT Road widening project to conclude by June 10

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) announced that the widening work of GT Road is set to be completed by June 10. It was mentioned that after the widening of the road, vehicles would be able to travel from Kanpur to Kannauj without any obstacles. It was further stated that permission had been granted for the shifting of the high tension (HT) line passing over Uttaripura flyover.

It was noted that the work had to be finished in the first week of June. The completion of the construction of Uttaripura flyover was confirmed. Due to a high tension line passing below it, the decision was made to shift it, resulting in the temporary halt of traffic. Project director of NHAI, Prashant Dubey, mentioned that the work, set to commence on June 2, would be completed within a week. He further stated that the movement of vehicular traffic on the Uttaripura flyover would be restored by June 10.
