Jeh Aerospace, established in 2022 by Vishal R. Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, former aerospace veterans from Tata Group, expressed its intention to capitalise on the increased aerospace component manufacturing diversification from US shores to Indian companies.

According to Sanghavi and Mudragalla, the US aerospace and defence manufacturing industry faces severe constraints such as labour shortages, talent attrition, and high costs. They stated that Jeh Aerospace plans to utilise India's talent pool and advanced manufacturing and digital technology to enhance supply resiliency for leading US-based aerospace and defence manufacturers like GS Precision. In its initial round of funding, Jeh Aerospace secured $2.75 million from venture capital firm General Catalyst to support its manufacturing operations.

The company is currently engaged in discussions with several other US companies for similar manufacturing contracts. Matthew O'Connell, President and Chief Executive Officer of GS Precision, expressed enthusiasm about expanding manufacturing capacity with Jeh Aerospace. He noted that their capabilities complement GS Precision's domestic production base for aerospace components, enabling them to meet growing customer demand.

The Hyderabad facility, with potential expansion up to 160,000 square feet, will focus exclusively on manufacturing precision machine components for commercial aero-engines for GS Precision. However, the deal value was not disclosed by the company. Jeh Aerospace stated that the strategic alliance aims to strengthen GS Precision's global supply chain, ensuring high-quality products, timely delivery, and adherence to cost commitments for their original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers. The partnership also underscores the utilisation of India's skilled workforce and promotes the concept of "friendshoring" critical components within the US aerospace industry.
