L&T to Build Uzbekistan’s First AI-Enabled Data Center

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured an order to construct Uzbekistan’s first AI-enabled 10-megawatt data center in Tashkent. The project, valued between Rs 10 billion and Rs 25 billion, aims to integrate advanced technology with sustainability, setting a new standard for data infrastructure in the region.

L&T will handle engineering, procurement, and construction, equipping the facility with AI-driven capabilities to optimize energy use, enhance efficiency, and minimize environmental impact. The center will also feature cutting-edge security systems to protect critical data.

This project adds to L&T’s growing portfolio, following its 5% rise in Q2 net profit, the launch of a second Multi-Purpose Vessel for the Indian Navy, and multiple high-value contract wins in Q3. The AI-powered data center marks another step in L&T’s global expansion and technological leadership.
