MahaRERA appoints Manoj Saunik as new chairman


Manoj Saunik, the former chief secretary of Maharashtra, has been named the new chairman of the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA). Saunik will assume his responsibilities following the retirement of the current MahaRERA chairman, Ajoy Mehta, on September 20.

Interestingly, Manoj Saunik is married to Sujata Saunik, the current chief secretary of Maharashtra. MahaRERA was instituted by the state government to oversee and foster growth in the real estate sector within Maharashtra.
