MEIL Wins Rs 33.75 Billion Godavari Water Supply Project Contract


Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) has secured a Rs 33.75 billion contract from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).
The order covers the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Project Phases II and III, along with the filling of the Osmansagar and Himayathsagar reservoirs as part of efforts to rejuvenate the Musi River. The contract was awarded under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM) through National Competitive Bidding (NCB).
The scope of work includes the manufacture, supply, lowering, laying, jointing, testing, and commissioning of 3,000 mm diameter mild steel pumping mains arranged in two parallel rows, each designed to carry 10 thousand million cubic feet (TMC) of water from Mallannasagar to Ghanpur. Additionally, MEIL will build a pump house and install electro-mechanical equipment, transformers, and a substation at Mallannasagar, located in Medak district, Telangana.
