Metro Connect Expands Services in Kochi from Next Week

Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) will launch Metro Connect services on two additional routes starting next week: High Court-MG Road and Kadavanthra-KP Vallon circular routes. These services will operate from 8 am to 8 pm, with buses running every 20 minutes and a fare of Rs 20 for 5 km.

KMRL introduced its 33-seater electric feeder buses on January 15, currently deployed on routes like Aluva-Airport, Kalamassery-Medical College, and Infopark. So far, nine of the 15 purchased e-buses have been put into service, with over 100,000 commuters using the facility in the last 40 days and average daily ridership reaching 3,000.

On the High Court circular route, three buses will connect the High Court water metro terminal with MG Road metro station, Maharaja’s metro station, and the General Hospital, providing seamless transit between metro boats and trains.
