Minister Reviews CMPDI Performance and Future Targets


Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey chaired a performance review meeting of Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) in Ranchi. The session was attended by the Chairman-cum-Managing Director Manoj Kumar, senior directors, general managers, and heads of departments.

The meeting evaluated CMPDI’s achievements in financial year two thousand twenty-four to twenty-five across exploration, report preparation, capital expenditure, research and development, solar initiatives, and corporate social responsibility. Projections and goals for financial year two thousand twenty-five to twenty-six were also discussed.

The Minister acknowledged CMPDI’s contributions and stressed the need for adopting advanced technologies in coal washing, boosting exploration of critical minerals, and enhancing the use of solar energy across operations under Coal India Limited.

The review underscored CMPDI’s role in driving innovation and sustainability within the coal sector, aligning with national priorities on energy security and environmental responsibility.
