MP CM Announces Formation of Municipal Corporation in Vidisha


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced plans to establish a Municipal Corporation in Vidisha, aiming to bolster development in the region.

CM Yadav highlighted that Vidisha has long been a focal point for the state's development, noting that the creation of the municipal corporation would contribute to further growth. He also promised that other key demands, such as integrating Vidisha Medical College and the District Hospital and advancing irrigation projects, would be addressed.

"The formation of a municipal corporation will accelerate Vidisha's development. It will also ensure that various infrastructure projects are completed more efficiently," said CM Yadav, adding that the area would see new improvements in healthcare and urban development.

During a programme in Vidisha, CM Yadav symbolically handed over house allotment letters to over 8 lakh families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin scheme. He also inaugurated development projects worth Rs 177.53 crore.

In addition, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced that 8.21 lakh families would receive pucca homes by April-May 2025 under the same scheme, with construction costs totalling Rs 12,636 crore.
