NCRTC: Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail main line trial run will soon begin

The Delhi Meerut Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) is being built at a full pace. At the construction site for the Anand Vihar RRTS project, Vinay Kumar Singh, MD of National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), promised that people would soon get the opportunity to ride India's first rapid rail.

They witnessed a lot of difficulties as a result of the COVID outbreak. But now that the difficult times have past, NCRTC is eager to meet new goals on schedule.

17 km of the priority portion of the RRTS will be made accessible to commuters after a successful trial and receiving NOC from another department.

The building of Anand Vihar RRTS Station, which Singh described as "one of the largest stations on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut line," is moving along quickly, he said. The station is being built using a top-down approach, meaning that ground level work is completed first and then underground work follows.
