NH-275 widening works underway

The widening and upgrading of National Highway-275 from Kushalnagar to Mysuru has commenced, with demolition of buildings near Guddehosur moving forward. Over 25 houses near Theppadakandi and Guddehosur Circle are being cleared, with compensation provided to the affected residents, according to officials.

This project aims to enhance road connectivity between Kodagu and Mysuru. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has already demarcated the land needed for the expansion, and construction of a bypass near Bylakuppe is also in progress to link the Guddehosur-Siddapur State Highway.

A significant bridge is being constructed over the Cauvery River near Theppadakandi, and all necessary land acquisitions have been completed, NHAI officials confirmed. (TOI)
