NHLML, IWAI Sign MoU for Varanasi Logistics Park

National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) and the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a state-of-the-art Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The agreement was formalized in the presence of Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Sarbananda Sonowal.

Spanning 150 acres, the MMLP will be strategically connected to NH7 through a 650-meter access road and will be just 1.5 km from the NH7-NH2 junction. It will also integrate with the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor via a 5.1 km railway line from Jeonathpur Station and National Waterway-1, while being located 30 km from Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport.

The project is set to attract significant investment and create employment opportunities, boosting India’s logistics infrastructure, enhancing trade efficiency, and driving economic growth. This initiative underscores India’s commitment to strengthening its logistics sector and positioning itself as a global economic leader.
