Noida Metro Adds Parking Facilities at Twelve Aqua Line Stations
The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has introduced new parking facilities at twelve more stations along its Aqua Line, significantly expanding commuter convenience. This initiative encourages the 'park-and-ride' system, promoting metro use over private vehicles.
New parking spaces have been opened at stations including Sector seventy-six, Sector one hundred and one, NSEZ, Sector eighty-three, Sector one hundred and thirty-seven, Sector one hundred and forty-three, Sector one hundred and forty-four, Sector one hundred and forty-five, Sector one hundred and forty-seven, Sector one hundred and forty-eight, Pari Chowk, and Delta One. These add to the existing parking areas at Sector fifty-one, Sector one hundred and forty-two, Sector one hundred and forty-six, and Alpha One stations, totalling sixteen stations with parking facilities.
Parking operates daily from five AM to eleven PM, with penalties for overnight parking: Rs two hundred per night for two-wheelers and Rs three hundred for cars. Charges for parking are Rs twenty-five (cars) and Rs fifteen (two-wheelers) up to six hours. Monthly passes cost Rs one thousand one hundred for cars and Rs five hundred for two-wheelers.
The Aqua Line connects Sector fifty-one in Noida with Depot station in Greater Noida, currently serving over fifty-five thousand commuters daily. These facilities aim to reduce road congestion, boost metro usage, and support sustainable urban growth.
