Railways to construct 15 road over bridges across Bihar
The Railways has approved the construction of 15 road over bridges (ROBs) in Bihar for the 2024-25 fiscal year. Nine of these ROBs are located within the Samastipur division of the East Central Railway (ECR). These bridges will be jointly funded by the state government and the railways to alleviate traffic congestion at key railway crossings in the Samastipur division, according to divisional railway manager (DRM) Vinay Srivastava.
Srivastava mentioned that the railways have identified specific locations for these ROBs, including Laheriasarai-Darbhanga gate number 25, Darbhanga-Mahmadpur gate numbers 2 and 28, Thalwara-Laheriasarai gate number 18, Motihari Court-Bapudham Motihari gate number 160, Kaparpura-Kanti gate number 112, Motipur-Mahwal gate number 124, Sugauli-Majhaulia gate number 178, and Majhaulia-Bettiah gate number 188. He added that these ROBs will be constructed in the districts of Darbhanga, East Champaran, West Champaran, and Muzaffarpur.
