RRoshani by RR Kabel Launches Skill Program for Maharashtra Youth
On International Electrician Day, RRoshani—an initiative by the RR Kabel Foundation—has announced the launch of a Skill Development Programme aimed at training underprivileged youth in Maharashtra. The initiative seeks to provide technical training in electrical work, soft skills development, and job placement support to individuals aged 18 to 30.
The three-month programme, scheduled between June and September 2025, will be conducted across Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nashik, and Solapur. It includes 300 hours of practical instruction and will be delivered in partnership with Kohinoor Technical Institute, Friends Union for Energizing Lives (FUEL), and Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers (RAGC).
Eligible participants must have passed their SSC examination and belong to families with an annual income below Rs 6 lakh. Trainees will receive kits from RRoshani comprising T-shirts, bags, study materials, and an electrical toolkit.
“We believe that real change begins with opportunity,” said Kirti Kabra, Director at RR Global. “By equipping young individuals with essential technical and life skills, we aim to unlock pathways to meaningful employment and brighter future—not only for them but for their families as well.”
RR Kabel, a leading name in the electrical industry, views the initiative as a step towards addressing the shortage of skilled manpower. The Foundation aims to place at least 50 per cent of certified trainees in employment, directly contributing to the demand for electricians and technicians.
The Rs 53-lakh investment is part of RR Kabel Foundation’s broader mission to support education, employment, and empowerment. RRoshani represents a long-term vision to help youth overcome socioeconomic challenges and participate in nation-building.
