Socomec, IFCCI Launch EMPOWERPATH for Marginalised Upliftment
Socomec India, in partnership with the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), has launched Project EMPOWERPATH, a CSR initiative aimed at uplifting marginalised communities. This three-year project focuses on digital and technical skill development, health and hygiene awareness, and educational support for high-risk groups and their children. Under the initiative, 120 individuals will be trained in digital literacy and another 120 in industry-relevant technical skills to enhance employability. It will also provide behaviour change counselling, hygiene education, and mental health support to 500 individuals from High-Risk Groups (HRG), including Female Sex Workers (FSW). Additionally, 80 children of HRG and FSW will receive after-school academic assistance. Socomec has committed to refurbishing school buildings in Noida and Gurugram to create better learning environments. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with NGO partner ISARD. “Through EMPOWERPATH, we are not just creating job opportunities—we are transforming lives,” said Meenu Singhal, Regional MD, Socomec Greater India. With over 800 individuals set to benefit in Dwarka and Najafgarh, the partners aim to expand the initiative to other regions in future phases.
