Tamil Nadu's transport - 1,400 special buses for May 31, June 1
An official release announced that to ensure convenient travel for passengers over weekends and auspicious occasions, the state transport corporations planned to operate 1,400 special buses on Fridays and Saturdays, in addition to their regular services.
According to the release, the transport corporations were set to run 500 special buses on Fridays and 570 on Saturdays from Kilambakkam terminus to destinations including Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, and Salem. Additionally, from Koyambedu, they would operate 65 special buses each on Fridays and Saturdays bound for Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru.
Furthermore, 200 special buses were slated to run from Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Erode to various parts of the state.
The release also mentioned that on Sundays, sufficient special buses would be in operation to assist passengers returning to Chennai and Bengaluru from their hometowns. Passengers were advised to utilize online ticket booking facilities for planning their trips.
