TCS Appoints Aarthi Subramanian as President & COO


Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced two major leadership appointments effective May 1, 2025. The company’s Board has named Aarthi Subramanian as President and Chief Operating Officer, and Mangesh Sathe as Chief Strategy Officer.

Subramanian, currently the Group Chief Digital Officer at Tata Sons and a Non-Executive Director on the TCS Board, will now transition into an Executive Director role at TCS. A TCS veteran, she began her career with the company in 1989 and held key leadership roles including Global Head of Delivery. Over the past eight years at Tata Sons, she has led digital transformation initiatives across the Tata Group, with a focus on innovation and AI adoption.

Subramanian holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from NIT Warangal and a Master’s in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas, USA.

Sathe, who currently heads Tata Strategic Management Group (TSMG), will take over as Chief Strategy Officer at TCS. He will also lead the company’s Global Consulting Practice and oversee its Mergers & Acquisitions functions. With extensive consulting experience across sectors and prior roles at BCG and PRTM, Sathe has driven strategic and digital transformation initiatives across the Tata Group.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Walchand Institute of Technology and an MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.

Both leaders will report to K. Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of TCS.

These appointments mark a strategic reinforcement of TCS’s leadership as it continues to drive innovation-led growth globally.
