Telangana inks MoUs in Japan to boost overseas job placements

In a push to expand global job avenues for Telangana’s youth, the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Ltd (TOMCOM) has signed MoUs with Japan-based employers TERN (TGUK Technologies Pvt Ltd) and Raj Group, in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy during his official visit to Japan.

The collaboration will enable the recruitment of skilled professionals from Telangana across key sectors in Japan, meeting the rising demand for international talent.

TERN, headquartered in Tokyo’s Shinagawa district, specialises in recruiting talent for Japan’s software, engineering, and Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) segments. Raj Group, in partnership with Tsukui Corporation—Japan’s leading nursing care firm—has been working with TOMCOM for caregiver recruitment and will now expand into non-health sectors.

Together, the two firms have projected the need for over 500 professionals within the next 1–2 years in sectors including healthcare, engineering, automotive, mechanical, IT/Computer Science, hospitality, and construction (civil, infrastructure, equipment handling, and maintenance).
