Two Flyovers to Ease Traffic on Delhi-Jaipur Expressway by June End

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to begin construction of two new flyovers at Manesar and Bilaspur on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway by the end of June. The move aims to resolve long-standing traffic congestion and accident risks at these busy intersections.
Tenders for the project have already been opened, with eight construction firms participating in the process. Final selection is expected in June, following which ground-level work will commence. NHAI Deputy Manager Prakash Tiwari confirmed that service lanes will be constructed prior to flyover work to maintain traffic flow during construction.
Currently, more than forty thousand vehicles pass through Manesar and Bilaspur daily, while the Kherki Daula toll plaza handles around eighty thousand vehicles per day. NHAI earns approximately Rs 4.8 million daily in toll revenue from this route. However, traffic bottlenecks at key intersections have led to frequent delays and safety concerns.
The flyovers are expected to greatly reduce accident risks and enhance mobility for commuters from six states including Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. Officials believe the project will also accelerate regional development in the surrounding areas.
