UP to Build 102 roads in Lucknow and Varanasi Under TAVY Scheme

In a significant push for infrastructure development, Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, will see 102 new roads constructed under the Tivirik Aarthik Vikas Yojana for FY 2025–26. The action plan for the project has already been finalised.

As per the plan, 25 roads will be built in Lucknow and 77 in Varanasi. The Rural Engineering Department has been appointed as the nodal agency for the project, with letters sent to the District Magistrates of both districts.

The construction work will begin only after receiving necessary environmental clearances and approvals. The project will also include proper drainage systems alongside the roads.

In Lucknow, roads will be developed in areas like Bakshi Ka Talab, Malihabad, and Sarojini Nagar. In Varanasi, the development will cover Pindra, Narayanpur, Sarnath, and Sarasoli.
