Uttarakhand CM Distributes Nazul Land Leases and Housing Allotments

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made significant strides in fulfilling promises to the people of the state as he distributed Nazul land leases and provided affordable housing allotments during a program held in Rudrapur. A total of 2,600 beneficiaries received Nazul land leases, while 403 individuals were granted ownership letters under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Nazul land, typically non-agricultural land owned by the government, was distributed free of cost to enable individuals to build their dream homes. Additionally, Chief Minister Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects valued at Rs 56,704.93 lakh, furthering the state's progress.

Expressing his satisfaction at the milestone achieved, Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the government's commitment to the welfare of its citizens. He recounted the challenges faced, including legal hurdles, and highlighted the government's perseverance in championing the rights of the people.

Our government worked tirelessly to resolve the Nazul land issue, even taking it to the Supreme Court when faced with opposition. The implementation of the Nazul Policy 2021 and subsequent legislative measures paved the way for the successful distribution of leases, stated Dhami during the event.

He reiterated the government's dedication to simplifying processes for citizens, ensuring officials facilitate all formalities directly at the beneficiaries' doorsteps without any financial burden on them.

Furthermore, Dhami assured that the regularization of colonies would follow once all eligible families secured ownership leases. The distribution of ownership leases to 2,600 families marks the first phase, with efforts underway to extend the benefits to additional eligible families soon.

Highlighting the government's commitment to inclusive growth, Chief Minister Dhami affirmed, Our administration operates under the principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.' Simplifying the Nazul policy underscores our dedication to action, particularly in uplifting economically disadvantaged segments of society.

The event served as a testament to the government's proactive approach to delivering on its promises and fostering equitable development across Uttarakhand.
