Vaishnaw Hails Innovation at Global Hyperloop Event


Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw virtually addressed the closing ceremony of Asia’s first Global Hyperloop Competition 2025, organized by IIT Madras in Chennai. He praised the Modi government’s commitment to fostering innovation, enabling collaboration between ministries and educational institutions. 

Vaishnaw highlighted IIT-Madras’s breakthrough in 5G technology and India’s record-setting 5G rollout. He also announced a partnership between Indian Railways and IIT-Madras to develop Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) vehicle technology, with funding provided by the railways.
