Vemulawada MLA Unveils Key Development Projects
Government Chief Whip and Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas announced a series of major development projects on Monday aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing facilities in the temple town.
The initiatives include the launch of a Street Vendor Market Zone on the Bypass Road, worth Rs 8 million ($9.6 million), which will support local vendors with 68 vegetable stalls.
Additionally, Rs 5.65 million ($6.8 million) will be spent on infrastructure work in wards 11 and 12, including the construction of concrete-cured (CC) roads and modern drainage systems.
Srinivas also unveiled plans for a third bridge, with Rs 60 million ($7.2 million) allocated for land acquisition to improve regional connectivity. A road widening project, valued at Rs 47 million ($5.6 million), is also underway.
The development agenda includes a major expansion of the Rajanna Temple complex, with Rs 76 million ($9.1 million) earmarked for the project, and construction will begin soon.
Each of the 28 wards in Vemulawada will receive a minimum of Rs 1 million ($120,000) for basic infrastructure improvements.
Other projects include the construction of Bastee Hospital for Rs 1.5 million ($180,000) and a new track along the road to Thippapur for Rs 800,000 ($960,000).
