Worli Sea Face Returns as 7.5-Km Coastal Promenade


Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 700 billion during his two-day visit to Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh on May twenty-nine and thirty.

In Sikkim, PM Modi will launch multiple initiatives, including a Rs 7.5 billion hospital in Namchi, a passenger ropeway in Pelling, and a statue of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Gangtok. He will also release commemorative items to mark fifty years of Sikkim's statehood.

In West Bengal, a Rs 10.1 billion city gas project in Alipurduar and Cooch Behar will supply piped gas to over 250,000 households and set up nineteen compressed natural gas stations.

Later in Bihar, he will inaugurate Patna Airport’s new terminal and lay the foundation for a Rs 14.1 billion civil enclave at Bihta. On May thirty, he will visit Karakat to launch projects worth Rs 485.2 billion, including a Rs 299.3 billion thermal power plant in Nabinagar.

In Uttar Pradesh, projects totalling Rs 209 billion include metro rail work in Kanpur, power substations in Greater Noida, and the Rs 83 billion Panki Thermal Power Project.
