TACC and NCB Collaborate on Graphene-Enhanced Sustainable Concrete

The two organisations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly explore the use of graphene – a single layer of carbon atoms known for its strength, conductivity and lightweight nature – to improve the durability and performance of concrete. Graphene is increasingly finding applications in sectors such as electronics, coatings, energy storage, construction, and textiles.

Through this collaboration, TACC’s graphene-based technology will be integrated with NCB’s expertise in concrete materials to develop next-generation construction solutions. The goal is to enhance structural strength and resilience while contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions in line with India’s net-zero targets.

This strategic partnership aims to foster sustainable innovation in infrastructure, paving the way for climate-resilient construction materials.
