Umrer Area Reaches Two Mn Tonnes Coal Production Milestone

New Delhi: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) said its Umrer Area reached the milestone of two mn t of coal production under the FMC Project. The company reported that the milestone demonstrated sustained operational capacity and adherence to production schedules. The announcement attributed the result to strengthened processes and close coordination among teams.

WCL indicated that the achievement reflected strong leadership and seamless coordination across departments, from coal face operations through to energy delivery. The release highlighted the role of frontline teams and technical staff in maintaining consistent output and ensuring supply reliability for consumers. The company noted that efficient energy delivery remained a central objective of ongoing operations.

Completion of the FMC Project Memorandum of Understanding was presented as a significant step in improving productivity and addressing operational bottlenecks.
