Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi on Thursday announced that the state government is preparing to introduce a modern, investor-friendly City Gas Distribution (CGD) Policy aimed at accelerating the development of natural gas infrastructure across the state.

During a review meeting with the Industries and Commerce Department and other relevant departments, Rastogi directed officials to incorporate recommendations from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to ensure the policy aligns with national standards and industry expectations.

According to an official statement, the forthcoming CGD policy is expected to unlock new opportunities for both public and private investment in natural gas pipelines and distribution networks, strengthening Haryana’s energy ecosystem and supporting long-term industrial growth.
