India’s Ethanol Supply Reaches 8.95 bn Litres in August

India’s ethanol supplies reached 8.95 bn litres by the end of August 2026, accounting for around 85 per cent of the 10.48 bn litres contracted under Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2025-26, according to data compiled by the All India Distillers’ Association (AIDA). Grain-based feedstocks emerged as the dominant source, contributing 6.24 bn litres, or nearly 70 per cent of cumulative supplies.
