Kejriwal Accuses Centre Of Forcing SIAM To Withdraw Ethanol Report

On August six, 2026 ANI reported that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal accused the central government of pressuring the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) to withdraw an internal communication on ethanol and alleged the government was promoting the fuel against scientific evidence under pressure from the United States. He characterised the action as political heavy?handedness. The claim prompted a public exchange between political figures and industry bodies.
