Oil India Signs MoU with CSIR for Collaborative Energy Research
The MoU seeks to foster collaborative research, innovation and technology development across the energy sector with an emphasis on upstream and downstream oil and gas operations. It will focus on hydrocarbon reservoir optimisation and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques, renewable energy integration, sustainable energy practices and research on critical minerals.
The collaboration will enable joint development of efficient and cost effective solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency in exploration and production. It will promote the transfer of cutting edge technologies and the co development of pilot projects to demonstrate commercial viability.
The memorandum underlines OIL's commitment to strengthening technological capabilities through strategic engagement with premier research institutions in the country. The partnership is presented as a step towards innovation driven growth and support for national energy security objectives.
The MoU establishes mechanisms for knowledge exchange, capacity building and joint academic collaboration to accelerate deployment of research outcomes. The Public Relations Department in Noida issued the release on behalf of the parties.
Both organisations will draw on institutional expertise and laboratory infrastructure to pursue applied research, technology validation and standardisation of processes relevant to the oil and gas value chain. The arrangement will also support development of human capital through training programmes and researcher exchanges. Stakeholders will monitor outcomes against performance indicators and timelines agreed under the MoU.
