ACME Signs 25-Year PPA For 200 MW Solar-Storage Project

ACME Solar Holdings has secured a twenty-five-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI Ltd for its 200 MW solar project with a 100 MW/400 MWh energy storage system, at a tariff of Rs 3.42 per kWh. The PPA was signed through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Platinum Urja, following tariff adoption by the central regulator and power procurement approval by the state regulator.

SECI had awarded ACME Solar a cumulative 350 MW capacity in July 2024. Of this, the PPA for 150 MW was executed in October 2024. The latest agreement brings the entire project capacity under binding PPA.

Under the terms, ACME Solar must supply power with an annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of twenty-five to twenty-seven per cent during solar hours. The company must also ensure a minimum availability of seventy per cent on a monthly basis and eighty-five per cent annually during evening peak hours.

The project is scheduled for commissioning by June 2027, supported by the final grant of connectivity already secured.

With this milestone, ACME Solar has cumulatively signed PPAs covering 800 MW of contracted capacity — including 2,320 MWh of battery energy storage — in the current financial year. This takes ACME Solar’s total PPA-signed capacity to 5,380 MW.
