ACME Solar Adds 16 MW To Gujarat Wind Project
The company said in a regulatory filing that officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company (PGVCL) witnessed and confirmed the commissioning, with the formal certificate expected shortly.
With the latest addition, the project’s operational capacity now stands at 44 MW, taking ACME Solar’s total operational portfolio to 2,934 MW.
The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) recently extended the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) after recognising Force Majeure events under the Power Purchase Agreement. The revised SCOD is now 5 March 2026. Despite this extension, ACME Solar has commissioned 44 MW ahead of schedule across the first two phases.
The project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and developed by ACME Solar’s in-house EPC team. It uses 4 MW turbines supplied by SANY. The power generated will be supplied to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement signed with ACME Eco Clean.
The share price of ACME Solar Holdings has risen 4.88 per cent so far this year.
