ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned the fourth phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan, adding 33.333 MW of power capacity and 160.48 MWh of storage. The project is being developed through its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Sun Power Private Limited as part of a larger utility-scale storage initiative. The facility is located at Village Badi Sid in Tehsil Bap and spans the districts of Phalodi and Jodhpur in Rajasthan, reflecting site selection for grid support and renewable integration.

The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the fourth phase has been scheduled for April 03, 2026, in line with the company’s phased execution approach for large-scale storage projects. With this commissioning the cumulative operational capacity under the project has reached 133.336 MW and 641.980 MWh, advancing progress towards the planned 300 MW and 1,409.34 MWh portfolio. The fourth phase therefore represents a material step in bringing dispatchable storage capacity online to support variable renewable generation.

ACME Solar has adopted tranche-based commissioning and reported partial commissioning of both solar and BESS assets across Gujarat and Rajasthan earlier in March 2026, demonstrating sequential delivery across its Special Purpose Vehicles. As part of the broader pipeline the company has already commissioned 142.67 MW and 481.49 MWh of BESS capacity under the first phase within an aggregate SPV portfolio planned at 585 MW and 2,011.24 MWh. The phased approach has enabled operational handover and staggered Commercial Operation Dates to match grid requirements and project financing timetables.

The latest milestone is presented by the company as evidence of steady rollout and operational scaling of energy storage infrastructure, supporting renewable integration and grid stability measures. The sequential commissioning and scheduled CODs are expected to allow the developer to manage construction risk while meeting contractual timelines for capacity additions. Continued phased deliveries are intended to position ACME Solar towards its stated target of 300 MW of energy storage capacity.
