ACME Solar Commissions 66.68 MW Solar Capacity in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned an additional 66.68 MW of solar capacity at Kelan village in Chhatargarh tehsil, Bikaner district, Rajasthan. The facility has been developed through ACME Renewtech, a subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings, and expands the company’s renewable energy assets in the state.

According to official records, the commercial operation date (COD) for the newly commissioned capacity is October 7, 2026. The addition forms part of a larger 300 MW Hybrid Power Project that ACME Solar is developing in the Bikaner region.

Following the latest commissioning, ACME Renewtech’s total commissioned solar capacity under the project has reached 133.36 MW. The company is continuing construction and development activities for the remaining capacity planned for the hybrid facility.

The project’s electricity generation is covered by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed with NTPC. The agreement provides a contracted commercial arrangement for the renewable electricity generated by the project and supports the facility’s revenue framework.

The commissioning strengthens ACME Solar’s presence in Rajasthan, which has become a major centre for renewable energy development in India. High solar irradiation and the availability of land suitable for utility-scale projects have encouraged the development of large solar installations across the state.

The Bikaner project is part of ACME Solar’s broader expansion of renewable power generation capacity. Its execution also adds to the supply of renewable electricity available to large institutional off-takers and supports India’s continuing transition towards cleaner energy sources.
