ACME Solar Plans to Raise Rs 30 Billion via Securities

ACME Solar Holdings is set to seek shareholder approval to raise up to Rs 30 billion through the issuance of securities, as per a notice issued for its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled on 29 September 2025.
The capital raise may be conducted through one or more private offerings, qualified institutional placements (QIPs), further public offers, or other permissible methods, according to the proposed special resolution.

Board Empowered with Discretion
The resolution aims to grant the company’s board absolute discretion to issue securities in multiple tranches, and to determine pricing, proportions, and timing based on prevailing market conditions and strategic needs.

Operational and Pipeline Portfolio
ACME Solar is a pure-play renewable energy producer in India with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, hybrid, and firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects.

As of the end of the financial year 2024–25, the company had:
  • 2,540 MW of operational capacity
  • 4,430 MW of under-construction capacity

Since 31 March 2025, ACME has:
  • Commissioned 350 MW of new renewable energy capacity
  • Won a bid for a 550 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project
This brings the company’s total operational portfolio to 2,890 MW.

2030 Ambitions
ACME Solar is targeting a contracted capacity portfolio of 10 GW by 2030, aligning with India’s broader clean energy transition goals.
The planned capital raise is expected to support its ongoing and upcoming projects in solar, wind, and storage, while reinforcing its leadership in the evolving Indian renewable energy landscape.
