ACME Wins 50 MW Renewable Project from Tata Power-D

ACME Solar Holdings has secured a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project from Tata Power-D under a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process, the company announced on Wednesday.
The project was awarded following an e-reverse auction held on 13 August 2025, as part of Tata Power-D’s 250 MW FDRE tender. ACME has received a Letter of Award (LoA) at a tariff of Rs 4.43 per unit for supplying firm and dispatchable power using renewable technologies.
Tata Power-D, a licensed electricity distribution company under Tata Power Company Ltd, floated the tender to procure reliable renewable energy that can meet peak demand requirements.
The project mandates a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40 per cent and requires the supply of power during four hours of daily peak demand, with a monthly availability of 90 per cent.
To fulfil these obligations, ACME Solar will deploy a combination of renewable energy technologies, including solar power and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The project will be developed with a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and is expected to be commissioned within 24 months of signing the agreement.
ACME Solar Holdings is among India’s leading integrated renewable energy developers, with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, hybrid, storage, and FDRE solutions, and an operational capacity of 2,890 MW.
This project strengthens ACME’s position in the evolving firm renewable energy market and reflects growing demand for dispatchable green power solutions capable of supporting India’s energy transition.
