Alfanar To Invest USD 100 mn In Senvion India
Alfanar, which operates across power, construction and industrial engineering, will partner with existing shareholders to support Senvion India’s operational scale and local supply chains. The firms indicated that the capital will be deployed to upgrade manufacturing capacity and enhance service networks for wind assets. The arrangement is intended to reinforce local content and maintenance capabilities for onshore wind projects.
Senvion India, a subsidiary of the global wind technology group, will retain its management and continue to focus on delivering and servicing turbines across the Indian market. The investment aligns with efforts to accelerate project delivery timelines and improve lifecycle support for installed capacity. Both parties noted the transaction advances technology transfer and skill development within the renewable sector.
The deal is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions in the relevant jurisdictions. Stakeholders will work with authorities to secure necessary clearances and to ensure compliance with local corporate and competition rules. The timeline for completion was not specified.
The infusion of capital into Senvion India comes as India seeks to scale wind capacity and diversify its renewable energy supply chain. The move aims to bolster domestic manufacturing and service ecosystems while supporting job creation in related industries. Market participants will monitor further announcements on project pipelines and capacity expansion.
